Afrofinns is a vibrant platform for individuals of African descent, created to foster an inclusive space where ideas thrive, and connections are made. Founded by Elvis Fuamba in 2012, Afrofinns has spent the past 12 years promoting diversity, cultural development, and proactive civic engagement.

Our community operates on the Ubuntu philosophy, meaning "I am because you are." This belief drives us to support anyone with an idea that can benefit the community. Here, individuals lead and bring their ideas to life, using Afrofinns' vast network, resources, and collaborations. We work with honest people who have real practical experience and are not just looking for a space to meet exotic people.

Even though Afrofinns is registered as an association, it operates outside the traditional association model with a board or managers. Instead, we collaborate with those committed to real change—doers, not bureaucrats. We are always on the lookout for leaders, individuals genuinely interested in uplifting the community, who have the inner commitment to succeed. We seek people who can operate independently, with their own ideas to develop, and don’t need a supervisor guiding them through every step.

Our Main Focus:

1. Cultural: To promote and preserve the diverse cultures within our community.
2. Business: Africa is the next big opportunity hub. Our goal is to ensure that this space is claimed by us—people of African descent. The African diaspora represents one of the biggest opportunities for investment and development in Africa, and we aim to mobilize this potential.
3. Creating Bridges: We aim to create bridges between Finland and Africa, ensuring that both parties benefit equally from the exchange of knowledge, resources, and opportunities.
4. Incubator for Growth: We are an incubator for all types of growth—a space where beginners, volunteers, first-timers, and professionals can try, learn, fail, and succeed.
